About Mitasai

The Mitasai is held every November at Keio University's Mita Campus and is the largest school festival in Japan in terms of both the number of visitors and participating organizations.
We look forward to welcoming you to Mitasai with a variety of projects.

The 67th mitasai

Greetings

The president of Keio University
塾長

The university festival, held under the name Mitasai since 1959, has become an established autumn tradition and is a major event attracting a large number of visitors.
Alongside vibrant, entertaining programs like stage performances showcasing the fruits of daily practice, diverse food stalls offering international cuisine, and unique events by cultural clubs, the festival also features substantial academic programs such as seminar research presentations and lectures by distinguished speakers from various fields.
The Mitasai Executive Committee operates entirely independently. It handles all aspects of management autonomously, from securing funds to negotiating with speakers and external organizations, and resolving any issues that arise. This embodies the very essence of extracurricular activities within the university.
This year's Mitasai will be held under the theme “Proudly, True to Ourselves.” Students have dedicated themselves to their studies and extracurricular activities, each pursuing their own unique path to excellence throughout their student life. They will undoubtedly showcase their individuality to the fullest and demonstrate strong unity in organizing the Mitasai.
We sincerely hope that visitors, including prospective students and members of the local community, will take the opportunity to witness the students' efforts and enjoy their time on Mita. We greatly anticipate that through the presentation of achievements in both academic and extracurricular activities, new connections will be formed, creating a virtuous cycle where everyone positively influences one another.
Finally, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many individuals and organizations who have generously provided sponsorship and donations.

Thank you very much for attending the 67th Mitasai.
This year's Mitasai theme is “Proudly, True to Ourselves.”
It goes without saying that before our individual statuses within affiliated groups, we share the overarching status of being “Jukusei(Name of Keio Students).”
First, we must once again express gratitude for and cherish this shared identity. We take pride in sharing time as fellow students, and we will express our unique spirit with all our might.
We chose this theme with the hope that Mitasai will remain such a four-day event, even decades or centuries from now.
The Mitasai has been woven together by students who never gave up on the festival, no matter the era, and this year marks its 67th iteration.
Three years have passed since its full revival following the COVID-19 pandemic.
We aim to return to the roots of the Mitasai, and indeed to our own roots, delivering a Mitasai brimming with student spirit and unity. May the efforts of students celebrating their final youth at this festival overflowing with love and passion bear fruit. And may the Mitasai reach your hearts as an irreplaceable space radiating dazzling brilliance.
Should you encounter any difficulties during the Mitasai period, please approach any committee member wearing a red happi coat nearby. All committee members will wholeheartedly support you with sincerity.
Finally, on behalf of the Mitasai Executive Committee, we extend our deepest gratitude to all university staff, the Mita community, our sponsoring companies, participating groups exhibiting at the festival, and everyone supporting the Mitasai.

Daiki Suto
The president of Mitasai Executive Committee
